DENIM ON DENIM

So it's that time of year where it doesn't feel quite real, no-one has a clue what day it is and you don't know what to do with yourself! I know I should go to the gym and get a head start on my fitness, I've even had new running trainers and fitness clothes given to me for Christmas, but instead I want to overload on carbs and eat leftover chocolate. Fitting into anything body con right now is out of the question!

So here I've got my slightly oversized mixed denim shirt on from Other Stories and my denim jeans from H&M, to finish the outfit off I've worn some Urban jewellery and chunky heeled boots, very relaxed for this time of year.

Here is a little recap of some of my favourite outfits worn by various celebrities I follow. Selecting a mixture of different style icons who have embraced tricker trends to celebs who are teen trend setters nailing the sweet girly-girl fashion.

EMMA WATSON : DIOR DRESS

My first choice is Emma Watson who I feel has come into her own style this year - I was actually torn between her Golden Globes outfit and the jumpsuit she wore for the British Fashion awards. She is pushing the boundaries of fashion and not shying away from trickier trends and this backless dress by Dior is a perfect example of that.

KIM KARDASHIAN : BALMAIN DRESS

This Balmain dress that Kim worn to Paris Fashion Week is just one of the amazing outfits she has graced us with this year. I picked this dress out in particular because I love the knitted pattern and how it is such a figure hugging to show off her curves.

JENNIFER LAWRENCE : DIOR CROP TOP & SKIRT

I have picked this twin set that Jennifer Lawrence wore to Cannes as one of my favourites as I feel it reflects her fun and out going personality. I love the way the stitch detail on the fabric which looks like tissue paper.

TAYLOR SWIFT : NOVIS CROP TOP & SKIRT

Taylor has upped her game this year but keeping in with her girly style. Now as you know I do love crop tops and this one Taylor has on is no different. I feel this outfit was perfect for the teen choice awards - a fun outfit and green being a key colour for this summer.

NICOLE RICHIE : DONNA KARAN DRESS

Now I love Nicole's style, she is experiments with different trends but what ever she puts on works for her that wouldn't normally work for others. This silver velvet sheer dress by Donna Karan is gorgeous. What makes this outfit work is the effortless tied up hair and subtle highlighting and touches of glitter to complement her dress and purple hair.

VANESSA HUDGENS : CUSTOM BONGO TOP & BADGLEY MISCHKA PANTS

Vanessa is the queen of bohemian style and a key trendsetter, so when she appeared on the red carpet in this outfit I thought it was perfectly representing her style. The custom chambray crop top is young and fresh and I love that she complemented the revealing look with white high-waist flaring trousers.

KYLIE JENNER : ALEX PERRY DRESS

Kylie Jenner has really developed her own style this year, creating a more rock chic image and breaking away from her sisters style. Here she still channels this, with a more polished finish to her outfit, in the white leather dress and strappy heels.

RITA ORA : LANVIN

People can love or hate Rita's style, with many times she pushes the boundaries and not always proving to be the best option. But at the Grammy Awards she looked incredible in this metallic green dress and Hollywood hair. This is by far her best look to date.

Let me know me who you guys think was the best dressed of 2014 or celebrities you admire?

DENIM & SUPPLY

Denim is something that will never go out of style and you can update your wardrobe every season with a another key piece. At the moment I am loving the 90's style, as you can see from my past posts, so naturally when I came across this Warehouse bandeau dress I had to buy it. Here I have teamed it with a black polo neck top and choker necklace. My boots I have had for ages and only bring them out occasionally as they are so high and hard to walk in.
