image 15.jpg

Hello guys and welcome to my last post of 2016. Well this year has flown by and it has been one heck of a year! With the ups and downs 2016 has had to offer, personally it's been one of my most successful years in regards to my blog.

Through blogging I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing brands and been introduced to some very inspiring influencers in the industry. One thing I am very thankful for is the support I have had from you guys because without you lot this blog would be lost in the world of the internet! So I raise a glass and give a big cheers and a massive thanks to you lovely lot! With that in mind, I have taken a look back at my most engaged outfits and put them together in this post. I have loved styling up outfits and mixing different trends this year, I am excited to show you more for 2017!

I hope you enjoy this look back at my year in outfits and you all have a happy New Year.

See you in 2017!

MERRY CHRISTMAS LIMBO

RIVER ISLAND PATENT LEATHER BOOTS CUT OFF TOPSHOP JEANS NORTHERN MAGPIE

We are well and truly in the midst of our Christmas holidays, that bit in between Christmas and New Year where you don't know what day it is and how much you should really be eating after binging over the holidays. This part of the Christmas holiday for me is where I feel it's time to head back home, try to start resume a normal pace of life and crucially a heathly diet.

Before I jump straight into a new gym regime and start downing uber healthy smoothies I felt I really needed to take some time off to actually relax. This year has been a funny old one, with so many changes of design jobs and being offered more opportunities than ever before with my blog, I was starting to feel worn out on the lead up to Christmas. So my decision to take time from all forms of social media and blogging felt well and truly earnt and I have loved every minute of it.

When I am at my most chilled out ideas for new posts come into my head, as a creative person I find inspiration can come from anywhere and at the most random times. I suppose my mind never really turns off from fashion but after this mini break I feel ready to start the new year with lots of ideas for you guys and new platforms.

On that note here is a little outfit I put together while on my Christmas holiday. Still loving these cut off godet jeans by Topshop, I wore them here for a party look. They have seen me through the holidays, travelling from one place to the next. I have teamed them with my long sleeved woven top by Zara and this short shearling coat by Warehouse - which was sale purchase, it was half price of the Warehouse website! To finish the whole look off I have worn my black patent leather sock boots and my cross the body day bag by Alexander Wang. Let me know how your holidays went and what exciting new things you might have planned for the new year ahead!

Party season is in full swing and it gives you an excuse to dress up in fancy frocks and sparkly outfits that you won't normally wear any other time of the year. The party season is a great time to experiment with your style and to purchase that beautiful dress and shoes you've always wanted to ensure you look fabulous for your Christmas do. This is no exception for me, I tend to normally shy away from dressy attire, heading towards a more casual look for the rest of the year. So this year I have decided to push the boat out and spend a little more than I have done in the past, purchasing a style of dress that is slightly different to anything I currently own. On the hunt for a unique piece for this party season, I headed onto Topshop's 'Going Out' section on their website. They have really upped their game when it comes to the party dress, creating garments in luxury fabrics and real attention to detail when it comes to the embellishment. Having such a wide section to choose from I managed to narrow it down to two or three but fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw it.

This particular party dress from Topshop caught my eye for the dark floral design of the fabric and the see through lace panels. When the dress arrived I was even more in love with the style of dress because of how structured the fabric felt and even though it looks very feminine and flowing. It is actually a very fitted dress, which is perfect for all the dancing I did at my friend's wedding! The dark floral pattern makes it an easy piece to wear with any pair of heels and bag. I wore it here with my wooden chunky elasticated sandals and a silver crossbody bag. This was such a dream to wear and a dress I will be bringing out time after time for any special occasion.

Christmas is just a week away and I am not going lie, I am starting to panic a little about the lack of presents I have bought! I start with such good intentions and buy a couple of presents, thinking I'm well on top of my present list, then it gets to the middle of December and I freak out about my list and that's when I start to panic. So over the next few days I will be ordering as much as possible online and whatever I can't get online I will be out in force onto Oxford Street, like some mad shopper. For anyone who is like me and has left the Christmas shopping up until the last minute, then this is a little gift guide I have put together with Topshop and their great gifts for under £50.

Here I have picked out three different gifts for three different people, starting with this beautiful faux fur shawl. When I saw this shopping I knew straight away this would make a great gift for a girl at any age. It is such a stunning piece that can add class to any look while keeping you warm. My first thoughts to who you could give this to could be either your mum or auntie as this is more of a sophisticated piece.

The second gift for under a fifty pounds is this stunning suede leather studded crossbody bag, which would make a perfect gift for a friend. This is a great bag for any night out and will go with so many outfits. I actually featured this bag on my last outfit post for after work drinks and loved how much it stood out against my outfit. A bag like this is such an easy present and one that will make any girl happy if you bought it.

My last gift is this liquid lipstick and liner. This is a perfect stocking filler and one you could buy for a secret Santa present or a small gift for a family member. I picked this colour as I found it so easy to wear day or night, making any outfit. But if you have someone in mind who is a little daring Topshop have a great selection of colours. If you have a special friend or family that you know you need to buy for I would recommend checking out Topshop's list of Great Gifts for under £50. They have some gorgeous gifts I know I would love if someone bought me a stocking filler from there. Let me know how your Christmas shopping is going, or even if at all? And please let me know what you think of the gifts I have picked out for you guys.
